What's in a name? Dominican priest and artist Giovanni da Fiesole came
to be known as Fra Angelico to the medieval world.
Five hundred years later, Dominican priest
and artist Rinaldo Zarlenga assumed "Angelico"as
his religious name. Both men moved from study, prayer, and contemplation
to artistic expressions of their faith.
Father Angelico Zarlenga always said, My art will proclaim the Word of God. Indeed his art work, as showcased in Art and the Word of God, demonstrates this. Angelico's paintings, sculpture, stained glass, ceramics, mosiacs, and drawing all trumpet the wonder of God's creation.
